Puspaanjali Dance
Puspanjali dance is the one of new creation dance which created by Ms. Swasti Wijaya Bandem. Puspanjali dance is pertained to usher dance. This Puspanjali dance illustrated about the flowers which growing and blossom in the middle of garden, plait together into one bunch of beautiful flower. This Puspanjali dance taken from based on rejang dance which is a sacral dance which performed to welcome of goddess deity who come from heaven in series of ceremony in the temple.
Usually this Puspanjali dance danced by group, between 5 person until 10 person depend on its need. Seen from its performed this Puspanjali dance very simple. From its movement is seen very simple, that is a series of repeated movement many times with change the composition. The composition also very simple, straight composition, beside or another very simple.
As well as most of the woman dance, this Puspanjali dance also using woman’s ankle length batik wrap around, kamben which folded on left beside and formed a kind of flower, cloth waistband cover the body with creation color also chest over, shawl which paired only by hanging it on right shoulder, and complete with other accessories like badong on the neck and pending in waist. For head ornament which used is series of flower which arranged coloring so look nice.
