Barong and Rangda drama
Barong is a symbol of kindness and Rangda is a symbol of evil. Barong is shaping from Siwa God believed by some of Hinduism in Bali to neutral of negative power on earth. Whereas Rangda is believed as symbol of negative power which become expressing soul emotion of every human being. There is a story which staged as an entertain which pertained with Barong and Rangda.
Kunthi seraya is a story where Dewi Kunthi who held Black Magic want to dedicating her youngest son as a sacrifice to Dewi Dhurga, the queen of black magic in order to her power be bless by Dewi Dhurga, yet because of sincere and her kindness Dewi Dhurga can’t eat Sahadewa the youngest son of Dewi Kunthi. Instead, Dewi Dhurga asked Sahadewa pray for Dewi Dhurga in order to return back to heavenly place and become Dewi Uma who beautiful again, and finally Sahadewa fulfill what Dewi Dhurga’s desire. After Dewi Dhurga back to heaven, then emerge Dewi Dhurga’s follower who also want to be prayed in order to go into heaven, but Kalika request who follower of Dewi Dhurga refused by Sahadewa, so that encounter fighting between them. Kalika change his shaping as a big pig, then change become an eagle, until he become Rangda. Sahadewa also change become Barong to balancing Kalika’s supernatural.
